Established in 1990 European Wood Products Ltd has, due to continued investment and a dedicated team,
become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fully certified timber doors / doorsets to both the commercial and
public markets with certification through the BWF Certifire scheme.
Supplying doorsets across the industry spectrum, European Wood Products Ltd embarked on an ambitious change of identity in 2003 with a completely new image including a change of trading name to European Door Sets which involved re-branding of the company identity. Since the name change European Door Sets has gone from strength to strength. Paul Bailey, Managing Director said, “It was clearly a difficult decision to make given that our original name had served us so well over a sustained period, but nevertheless I am delighted with the
results we have achieved since the change and the feedback I have received has been excellent”.
The privately owned company operates out of a 25,000sq’ manufacturing plant using the latest state of the art CNC machinery (Computer Numerically Controlled). All components are machined in house providing European
Door Sets with total control and are therefore not reliant on a third party for any quality issues. The company
continues to develop strong partnerships with specifiers, contractors, joinery sub-contractors and suppliers. European Door Sets provides a comprehensive list of all key personnel allowing customers to make direct contact at any stage of the ordering /delivery process.
Offering a complete package tailored to individual needs, European Door Sets is able to manufacture a wide range of specifications including Veneered doors, (book-matched where applicable), laminated doors with concealed or exposed lippings, paint grade doors with factory finishing available, X-ray / lead lined, HTM 58 doorsets, Post formed / fully encapsulated doors and frames for added protection in areas with high circulation.
Fully certified doors are available with Fire rating from FD30 – 120 and Acoustic doorsets upto 44dB.
European Door Sets is certified to supply and manufacture complete doorsets under the BWF
Certifire Doorset Scheme, which is the leading representative for fire door manufacturers, accounting for 90% of
all fire doors sold in the UK. Every fire doorset manufactured by European Door Sets is easily identified by the
permanent tamper proof, easily understood and fully traceable label. Fire doorsets have a uniquely numbered
label attached to them to identify the manufacturer and other data.
It is the policy of European Door Sets to provide its customers with a high quality service and product. Our commitment to this provision is reinforced through our accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard, ensuring customers have confidence that their needs will be met from receipt of initial enquiry to final delivery. Our estimating department offers a scheduling service where necessary and can produce relevant NBS pecifications. Enquiries received are acknowledged upon receipt and actioned speedily, accurately and can be returned via either fax, email, CD Rom or a traditional hard copy or more often than not a combination of the four. Technical queries are addressed through our technical department and queries can be forwarded via phone, fax or email.
Deliveries are carried out using a fleet of our own liveried vehicles and are delivered to coincide with preferred site times. Contact is always made days in advance to ensure the site is ready for the items due. All items are packaged in a protective wrapping to ensure site receive the items in the same condition in which they left the controlled environment of the factory. Each item is clearly identified with a unique tamper proof identity tag also demonstrating that the product has gone through our rigorous quality assurance procedure.
